
As part of the Tamkeen initiative to support childhood, the College of Fine Arts, University of Basra, hosted teachers and students of Al-An’am Primary School for Girls, in the context of community service and strengthening cooperation between the College of Fine Arts and schools across the governorate During the visit, the students were introduced to a scientific tour inside the corridors of the college, in which the students were introduced to the nature of the scientific departments and the artistic productions that the college students accomplish each year. The teachers of the drawing department provided a simplified and practical explanation of drawing skills.
Where the professors in the department conducted simple practical lessons on sculpture and ceramics and presented simple models to the students of Al-An’am School. Then the Department of Musical Arts was visited, where the university choir group presented traditional and patriotic songs with the participation of the students and teachers of the school, to end their tour in the college gardens, interspersed with activities that were effectively presented by the students of the Fine Arts Department. Face painting and distribution of gifts to students The director of Al-Anam Al-Sit School, Bushra Abdel Karim Ashour, expressed the warm welcome and the students' enjoyment in all departments of the Faculty of Fine Arts.
