The Continuing Education Unit was established at the College of Fine Arts, University of Basrah
An electronic symposium on (the popular feature in the work of the artist Fadel Abbas)
The symposium, which was moderated by the assistant teacher Hadeel Iyad and lectured by the artist Fadel Abbas, included an introduction to the popular feature and the extent to which the artist was affected by the alleys and popular markets in Diwaniyah and the governorates of Iraq.
The symposium also discussed the artist's work method and the technique in which he worked his works consisting of painting on canvas.

A group of teachers and students participated in the symposium
 The symposium aims to shed light on the technique of Fadel’s work and his distinguished works, as well as teaching students the mechanisms and stages of completing the artwork, in addition to an adequate explanation of the realistic contents and topics that the artist took as a model for drawing in his paintings, and introducing the importance of this art and its role in the contemporary Iraqi fine movement.
