The College of Fine Arts holds an exhibition of employing artistic techniques to represent the Iraqi identity

Under the supervision and support of the Dean of the College of Fine Arts, Prof. Dr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kinani, the Department of Fine Arts at the College of Fine Arts, University of Basrah, held an art exhibition for the students’ productions within the subject of techniques for the second stage - the evening study entitled Employing artistic techniques to represent the Iraqi identity under the supervision of Eng. Afrah Khair Allah and M.M. Farazdaq Abbas
The exhibition, which was held at the Great Exhibition Hall at the College of Fine Arts, included more than 40 artworks representing the Iraqi identity in all its forms, represented by the popular heritage and Iraqi symbols that represent the Iraqi identity in all its forms.It represents an ancient memory in the minds of Iraqis of Baghdadi paintings, visual symbols of Al-Shanashil, and several materials, including oil, drywall, collage and painting on glass. Modernity also had a distinguished presence through paintings that mimic the reality of earth arts, pendants, and works completed with threads and nails.
The exhibition was inaugurated by the Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Prof. Dr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kinani, and the exhibition was attended by the Head of the Fine Arts Department, Ms. Asmaa Samir, the Head of the Performing Arts Department, Prof. Dr. Hassanein Abdel-Wahab, and a group of professors and students of the Faculty of Fine Arts.
