The President of Basra University, Prof. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, headed an official delegation to visit the Japanese Kokyoshikan University in the capital, Tokyo.
The delegation was received by the President of Kokushikan University, Dr. Nobuyuki Miura. During the visit, an official meeting was held on agreement on a number of axes and work mechanisms, including supporting the opening of the Japanese corner at the university, opening a Japanese language department, and adopting the admission of students from the English Language Department as cadres for this department, as well as conducting Training and exchange of visits and experiences between the two universities.
During the visit, the delegation was briefed on the university's faculties and infrastructure, with detailed explanations of each specialization, as well as a visit to the University's Historical Museum. The delegation was accompanied by the advisor of the Iraqi ambassador to Japan, Mrs. Anwar Al-Issa.
