The College of Fine Arts at the University of Basra won the silver medal out of the eight best universities in Asia during the Asian Universities Summit held in Japan. This nomination constitutes a historic achievement for the University of Basra and the College of Fine Arts.
The award came in the field of innovation and excellence in the arts for the “Tamkeen” project, which was adopted and supervised by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kinani. The project, which spanned for more than a year, aims to develop skills and nurture the creative energies of youth, students and children.

The College of Fine Arts was nominated among the top 8 universities among 508 international universities at the summit held in the Japanese city of Nagoya for the period from 31-5 to 2-6-2022
It is worth noting that the College of Fine Arts and the University Cultural Center were nominated last year for the Oscar for Higher Education 2021, as part of the “Smile of a Child” project.
