Under the patronage of the President of the University of Basrah, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, the College of Fine Arts at the University of Basra organized its first scientific conference for student research at Marla Hall
The conference began with the recitation of a verse from the Holy Qur’an, and then Surat Al-Fatihah, in honor of the martyrs of Iraq, and then the anthem was played. A summary of the conference was presented by the administrative assistant, Assistant Professor Dr. Hazem Abdel Majid Then the speech of Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kinani, Dean of the College, confirmed that this experiment is the first of its kind at the level of discussions of graduation research through the establishment of scientific conferences in the departments, similar to qualifying for the nomination of three distinguished researches that compete for the first ranks in the General Conference of the College. This initiative comes in order to instill a spirit of enthusiasm and competition among students to present their scientific and knowledge energies. He extended his thanks and gratitude to the conference committees and the participating students.For their efforts to make the conference a success, and then began discussing the research by the specialized scientific committees, then presenting gifts to the research that won advanced positions and certificates of thanks and appreciation for the students and professors supervising the research and all the committees supervising the success of the conference
In light of the scientific atmosphere, it was necessary to honor influential figures in the College of Fine Arts who presented and contributed to its establishment and sobriety.
