The College of Fine Arts holds its calendar conference for the academic year 2021-2022

The College of Fine Arts at the University of Basra held the calendar conference for the academic year 2021-2022. The conference included an inspection tour of all departments of the college to see the merits and products of the department and new developments within the plan of the annual conference for this year, where the Department of Fine Arts participated in an exhibition of student and teaching products in the Great Exhibition Hall that included paintings Artistically followed by the Audio-Visual Department, which presented a film of the students’ productions entitled (The Last Promises), then the Musical Arts Department, which presented the committee with a musical art show that included lyrical pieces for the choir under the supervision of M. Students of the Department of Performing Arts in the Central Theater Hall, to conclude the tour with an art exhibition of the Department of Art Education that contained dozens of handicrafts The opening session included a program that began with a recitation of the Holy Qur’an, followed by the national anthem and a pause of silence in honor of the souls of the martyrs of Iraq, then a video presentation presented by the media unit in the college about the college’s scientific progress, followed by a speech by the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kinani, in which he welcomed the guests, praising their participation In enriching the conference session, in which he outlined some of the college’s achievements and the success it achieved during the past year in the scientific, administrative and community service fields. Postgraduate and preliminary studies and the extent to which professors interact and contribute to scientific events.The administrative axis, which was shown by the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Hazem Abdel Majid, who gave a detailed explanation about the infrastructure, the financial, organizational, and service aspect, as well as to the most important achievements of the field college for the college building and its development in green yards, halls and laboratories.
Prof. Tahrir Ali Hussein, Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs, reviewed the axes of the scientific aspect and how the teaching staff in the college contributed to bringing about a radical change in the level of education and scientific support and research activity in all areas that serve the community .

The focus of Basra Arts magazine, which was presented by m. Haider Jaafar, editor-in-chief of Basra Arts magazine, where he showed the stages of the magazine’s development and the relentless pursuit of its entry into the international containers Scopus and Clarvet.
By providing material and logistical capabilities that provide an environment for the publication of discreet research in accordance with the mechanisms and standards of global publication in the Basra Arts Journal
In conclusion, the Dean praised the great efforts made in the evaluation conference in a way that befits Basra and the College of Fine Arts, and hoped to hold more events because it adds scientific information that enriches the scientific archive of the university in general and the college in general.
