Under the auspices of the President of the University of Basra, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Fine Arts, Prof. Dr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kinani
Today, Sunday, 12-3-2023, the College of Fine Arts at the University of Basra, in cooperation with the Department of Student Activities at the University, organized a chess tournament in the hall of the college.
The student activity official in the college, Prof. Dr. Sabah Muhammad Yassin, stated that the number of participants is 18 male and female players from inside and outside the college, and this tournament is one of the most important mental sports that develop the mind, strengthen the memory and increase its flexibility for the player who practices it.
The tournament was attended by Prof. Dr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kinani, Dean of the College of Fine Arts, and a group of professors and students of the college.
