Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts participates in the regular meeting of the deans of the faculties of fine and Applied Arts in Iraq

Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abdul Zahra Mohammed, dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Basra, participated in the regular meeting of the deans of the faculties of fine and Applied Arts in Iraq, hosted by Al-Isra University in the capital Baghdad.
The meeting dealt with a number of important topics related to the development of academic education in the faculties of Arts, where the updating of curricula to keep pace with modern developments in the field of fine and Applied Arts was discussed. The necessary arrangements for holding a special conference of the Popular Mobilization were also discussed, as it was decided to postpone the date to February 2025.
The meeting also touched upon the ongoing preparations for the conference of the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Basra, which is entitled "Arts in the face of extremism", with the aim of enhancing the role of the Arts in spreading the culture of tolerance and peace.
In addition, the mechanisms and percentages of admission to the faculties of Fine Arts were discussed, along with the annual calendar, quarterly and final exams. The meeting focused on the need to come up with common recommendations and visions that will improve the administrative work in the colleges, as well as keep pace with the scientific and technical development in the field of technical education.
These meetings are an important opportunity for college deans to exchange experiences and work together to improve the quality of academic education in all Iraqi universities.
