Under the auspices of the president of the University of Basra, Prof. Dr. Muhannad Jawad al-Asadi, and the supervision of the dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abdul Zahra Mohammed, the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Basra organized a scientific seminar entitled “intellectual and aesthetic initiation in the feature film”, within the activities of the Continuing Education Division.
The seminar aimed to highlight the importance of beginnings in works of art, in particular feature films, their role in attracting the viewer's attention and establishing the visual and narrative discourse of the cinematic work.
The seminar, presented by Dr. Qusay Abdel Abbas, discussed how to deal with the artistic formats in the early stages of the film, and the importance of formulating an effective and effective introduction that prepares the viewer for the upcoming events. He also touched on the artistic methods used in the construction of the opening scenes and their impact on the recipient.
The seminar witnessed a wide interaction from the attendees, who praised the importance of the topic in the development of artistic vision and the formulation of influential beginnings in the film business.
