Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Muhannad Jawad al-Asadi, the esteemed president of the University of Basra, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abdul Zahra Mohammed, dean of the College of Fine Arts, the Continuing Education Unit at the College organized a scientific seminar on the supermatzim of a new language in contemporary art.
The seminar aimed at understanding and analyzing supermatism as an artistic and cultural movement that emerged in the early twentieth century, as well as studying the works of art by supermatism artists that help in analyzing the artistic methods and techniques used.
The seminar presented by the teacher Sawsan Mohammed Hamza included introducing the movement and its impact on Modern Art and identifying its most famous artists.
