Within the framework of the directives of the Ministry of higher education and scientific research, and under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mohannad Jawad Kazim, president of Basra University, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Nasser Samari Jaafar, dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, the Faculty of Fine Arts and women's affairs unit launched a comprehensive media campaign aimed at raising awareness of the dangers of drug abuse and reducing its spread among students entitled "Drugs are a journey towards destruction".
The campaign included the distribution of educational brochures to students, as well as the hanging of awareness posters in various halls and departments of the College, in order to spread awareness and promote the culture of prevention of this dangerous scourge.
This initiative comes in the context of the continuous efforts exerted by the university to establish a healthy and safe academic environment, which contributes to building a conscious generation capable of meeting societal challenges responsibly and consciously.
The administrative assistant Dr. Uras Jabbar Sahim, the head of the women's affairs unit, Mrs. Khadija Shoukry Faisal, and a number of faculty professors and students participated in this campaign.
