Under the auspices of the president of the University of Basra, Prof. Dr. Mohannad Jawad al-Asadi, and under the supervision of the dean of the College of Fine Arts, Prof. Dr. Nasser Samari Jafar, the College of Fine Arts organized through the Continuing Education Unit an awareness seminar on avoiding the phenomenon of fraud, in the presence of an academic who included a group of college students.
The seminar aimed at enhancing students ' awareness of the harms and risks of the phenomenon of academic cheating, highlighting its negative repercussions on the individual and society, as well as consolidating academic principles and ethical values in the university environment.
The seminar, which was attended by a group of specialists, dealt with the definition of academic fraud and its various forms, the reasons for its spread, and also reviewed the most prominent negative effects at the individual and institutional levels. The lecturers presented practical strategies to avoid cheating, as well as guidance tips aimed at supporting the student in adopting positive behaviors and rejecting all forms of unfair practices in the exam environment.
