Under the patronage of the president of the University of Basra, Dr. Muhannad Jawad al – Asadi, and under the supervision of the dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Dr. Nasser Samari Jafar, the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Basra organized the three Minutes Thesis-3MT competition, an academic competition dedicated to doctoral students, aimed at enabling them to submit abstracts of their scientific research in just three minutes, in a simplified language and aimed at a non-specialized audience.
The competition witnessed a distinguished academic and official presence from inside and outside the College, in a rich scientific and intellectual competitive atmosphere. PhD student Abdul Azim Hamad Mohammed from the Department of Performing Arts – acting branch, was able to win the first place, after he presented an outstanding performance that won the admiration of the jury and the audience.
This competition is a qualitative opportunity for graduate students, as it contributes to refining their skills in scientific communication, enhances their ability to simplify complex research ideas and present them in influential and inspiring ways, as well as highlighting their research contributions and new discoveries and knowledge that serve society and various scientific fields.
