The Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Basra has started implementing a new environmental initiative to enhance green spaces inside the university campus, after equipping it with(50) seedlings provided by the Office of the chairman of the Agriculture Committee in the Basra provincial council, Mr. Mohammed Faleh Al-Batat, as part of the program to support afforestation and improve the university environment.
The initiative included the provision of various types of seedlings that were carefully selected in accordance with local climatic conditions and the lack of Water Resources, which contributes to achieving environmental sustainability and maintaining the sustainability of vegetation cover within the college.
This step comes within the framework of continuous cooperation and coordination between the Deanship of the Faculty of Fine Arts and the Office of the chairman of the Agriculture Committee in the governorate council, in support of environmental initiatives aimed at enhancing the aesthetic and civilized aspect of the college, and creating a more vibrant and attractive university environment that contributes to providing a suitable atmosphere for students and teachers.
