On the occasion of International Children’s Day, the College of Fine Arts at the University of Basrah held a series of different activities aimed at developing children’s talents and spreading moral support to them, especially after they passed the Corona crisis and the moral frustration and depression that it left behind due to their distance from social life and their normal life and their failure to attend school and meet their colleagues. .
The activities held by the college varied from receiving talented students in primary schools and providing support for the development of their talents and informing them about lessons in the field of plastic art and music and their interaction, in addition to the college students actively painting faces, which added joy and happiness to the faces of the children.
On the other hand, a number of students, with the support of the Deanship of the College, visited the children in the Children’s Specialized Hospital to celebrate with them the International Children’s Day and present gifts and events that alleviate their suffering and give them hope for life.
The school administrations expressed their gratitude for this initiative, which constitutes a moral incentive in supporting and developing talents, especially under the weight of the pandemic, and in compensation for the suffering experienced by childhood during the last period.
The College of Fine Arts at the University of Basrah is still receiving talented students according to a program it prepared within the Tamkeen initiative to develop talents for all segments.
