His doctoral thesis at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Basra examined the concept of aesthetic heterogeneity and the militarization of society in the contemporary Iraqi formation.
The thesis presented by researcher Sarah Taqi Abdul Karim aims to reveal the concept of heteronormativity and militarization of society in the contemporary Iraqi formation.
The thesis included the topic of the militarization of society and explained its concept, types and goals, how it affects society in general and art in particular, and how this militarization was represented in different ways in the contemporary Iraqi formation.
The thesis concluded that the militarization experienced by the Iraqi society and its continuous changes have produced in modern times a revolutionary society rejecting everything that restricts its freedom and drains its energy by relying on media, literary and artistic revolutions to criticize society very freely.
