The Department of Art Education at the College of Fine Arts at Basra University organized its first annual exhibition on graphic art at the department’s exhibitions hall this morning, Wednesday, the 15th of May, in the presence of a delegation from the School Activity Division in the Basra Education Directorate, and the opening ribbon was cut. Dr. Zain Al-Abidin Jassim Al-Asadi, in the presence of a number of teachers and students, and the supervisor of the exhibition, Assistant Lecturer Marwa Nizar Youssef, mentioned that the exhibition: included a group of students' works represented by their class achievements for the two semesters and amounted to 100 works carried out with various techniques such as engraving on wood and printing on aluminum as well as pressure on Paper, and continued: For the purpose of obtaining successful and aesthetically pleasing prints, use manual pressure sometimes and the press at other times, especially the duplication between the two methods, as the materials used are cardboard and abrux in different sizes, as well as the use of printing inks and oil and water colors.
