The College of Fine Arts holds the second edition of the Arabic Calligraphy Festival and the formation of one dimension

Under the supervision and support of the Dean of the College of Fine Arts, University of Basrah, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kinani, the College of Fine Arts, University of Basra, held the second annual festival for the art of Arabic calligraphy and the formation of one dimension in the great exhibition hall in the college
The exhibition included more than 75 artistic manuscripts, with the participation of more than 30 calligraphers from the province of Basra. The manuscript topics varied between Quranic verses, prophetic hadiths, poetry and heritage texts with different types of models of Arabic calligraphy, including Al-Baghdadi’s Kufic - Naskh - Al-Raq’a - Al-Diwani).
The exhibition was inaugurated by the Dean of the College of Fine Arts, Prof. Dr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kinani, in the presence of a number of calligraphers, students and teachers.
It is worth noting that the festival lasts for three days The first day includes the opening of the joint exhibition and the presentation of manuscripts, the second day an open workshop for Arabic calligraphy, while the third day will witness the establishment of a scientific symposium entitled Representations of Arabic calligraphy in contemporary formation
For his part, Al-Kinani stated that this festival is a sufficient indication to continue encouraging and motivating each calligrapher and diversifying his creativity in the field of Arabic calligraphy, and this was reflected in the second edition of the festival, which was an incentive to present the best.
