Under the supervision and support of the Dean of the College of Fine Arts, Prof. Dr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kinani, the Department of Art Education at the College of Fine Arts at the University of Basra held the closing ceremony of the Fourth School Theater Festival, which included the ceremony that was held in the central theater hall at the College of Fine Arts
Many paragraphs, the first of which is reading the national anthem and Surat Al-Fatihah on the souls of the martyrs of Iraq. After that, the Dean of the College of Fine Arts, Prof. Ali Abdullah Al-Kinani, gave his speech in which he emphasized the importance of school theater in all schools of Iraq to be the icon through which we can rise with taste technical student. The Head of the Art Education Department, Dr. Zain El Abidine Jassem, expressed the creativity of the Art Education Department students through their theatrical performances that were embodied in this theater festival.For his part, Prof. Dr. Seif Al-Din Al-Hamdani, director and founder of the school theater, thanked the efforts made through his students in the Art Education Department, to which he raises his hat by embodying knowledge, knowledge, love and hope.
Mrs. Eileen Lampden, President of the International Academy in Iraq, had an opinion on the importance of theater, which is an incentive and an outlet. The Academy always seeks to give its students the opportunity to experience that theatrical taste
The ceremony started with a solo performance of the Oud by the original student from the Musical Arts Department, followed by theatrical performances, including the festival’s diaries, the play “Our Care and Our Giving,” the play behind the scenes of the school theater, the play “The Pen and the Eraser” and the play “Thaloub.” The International Academy also participated in the performance of the teacher's operetta, representing the students of the Academy's team
The festival concluded with a live drawing event presented by Eng. Ehsan Ali from the Art Education Department, to distribute prizes to the organizing committee and the students participating in the plays that roamed the schools of Basra Governorate
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Fathi Shaddad, head of the Artists Syndicate in Basra, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abdul-Zahra Muhammad, Head of the Audio-Visual Department, and a group of professors, employees and students of the College of Fine Arts
