A doctoral thesis at the University of Basra examines fluid modernity and its representations in contemporary Iraqi formation

A doctoral thesis at the College of Fine Arts, University of Basra, examined liquid modernity and its representations in contemporary Iraqi formation. The phenomena in which we live, it is a project that feeds new concepts in the products of contemporary thought.
The thesis discussed the axis of the interactions of fluid modernity with the cultural, political and social axes of Iraqi art after the occupation. It highlights the research features in the products of contemporary Iraqi artists.
The thesis aims at exposure to the philosophical project presented by Baumann and the search for fluid modernity and its representations in contemporary Iraqi formation.

The thesis concluded that modernity works to dissolve perceptions and levels of cultural and aesthetic production, as it seeks to find aesthetic and cultural transformations in the structure of the aesthetic text in an effort to define the collection of contradictions and mutual outlets between them.
