Dr. Tahrir Ali Hussein, a lecturer at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Basra, participated in the membership of the ministerial committee to judge the plastic arts festival for Iraqi university students for the year 2026, which is organized by the Ministry of higher education and scientific research, under the supervision of the Student Activities Department in the scientific supervision and evaluation apparatus.
The festival witnessed the participation of more than 60 Iraqi public and private universities, including the University of Basra represented by the Faculty of Fine Arts, in an artistic and Academic event that reflects the diversity of student creations and contributes to enhancing cultural and artistic mobility in the university environment.
The Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Basra achieved a distinguished achievement by obtaining the first place in the creative work axis, thus advancing among the Centers of participating Iraqi universities, in confirmation of the advanced technical level of its students and the efficiency of their creative products.
This achievement comes as an embodiment of the keenness of the University of Basra and the College of Fine Arts to support student talents, enhance their presence in university art forums, and consolidate their position in the Iraqi plastic scene.
