The two instructors in the Fine Arts Department of the College of Fine Arts at Basra University participated in the International Scientific Conference: (Sustainable Cultural Development and Human Building) held by the Supreme Council for Culture / the Egyptian Ministry of Culture in Cairo.

With her research entitled (The role of contemporary Arab sculpture in sustainable cultural development) and (Cultural adaptation and identity reference in contemporary Arab formation)

The conference included a number of major themes on cultural development through a number of seminars in which more than one specialized researcher from different countries discussed

The aim of the conference is to exchange scientific, cultural, artistic and literary experiences on the relationship between culture and sustainable development, especially with regard to human building, to provide a forum for cultural dialogue, and to provide a multidisciplinary cultural platform to support the decision-making system, cultural policy-makers and public policies.
