A UNESCO delegation visits the College of Fine Arts to discuss a joint action mechanism

Today, Sunday, 9-10-2022, a UNESCO delegation visited the Deanship of the College of Fine Arts to discuss a joint working mechanism between UNESCO and the College of Fine Arts to revive the old city through the rehabilitation of old houses and the Ashar River.
Where the field coordinator of UNESCO, Engineer Yasser Mutlaq Abdullah, met with the Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Prof. Dr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kinani
The aim of the visit was to search for common ground to do future work with the College of Fine Arts for the purpose of raising awareness among the city’s community and its residents through theatrical activities, cultural, artistic and musical evenings and direct drawing exhibitions.As well as the technical and cultural support that is compatible with the work of revitalizing the old city of Basra, which includes the rehabilitation of some heritage houses and the Ashar River, implemented by UNESCO and funded by the European Union, and to complement the work of the project, the UNESCO team. This historical heritage, which represents part of the identity and heritage of Basra
Al-Kinani welcomed this visit, which would consolidate the visual culture and restore the city's historical and artistic heritage.
