The head of the Performing Arts Department at the College of Fine Arts at Basra University, Dr. Haider Saleh Dashr, held a meeting with professors of the department, Dr. Muhammad Abdul-Zahra and Dr. Maher Al-Ketibani, a meeting with students of undergraduate studies, Department of Theatrical Arts, the second phase, to choose the major of each student
The meeting included several recommendations
1 - The most appropriate choice for the major has a great impact on drawing the parameters of the student’s future, as this choice is based on solid scientific criteria.
2- Depending on the potential and the ability of the student to choose the major
3- The wrong choice by the student (for the major) that results in problems that lead to failure 
4- The issue of choosing a major is not considered a moody issue. Rather, the student will be subjected to theoretical questions that pave him for this aspect
5- Candidate numbers for each branch 0%
6- The duty that starts with the output student, he produces a thesis in the third stage and a thesis in the fourth stage, in addition to the leadership, cultural, creative and cognitive duty, thus achieving a good result for the student and a product of the department and college 00 (such as his participation in festivals) as a knowledge definition of society
