Under the auspices of the President of the University of Basra, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Fine Arts, Prof. Dr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kinani
The Division of Continuing Education in the College of Fine Arts, University of Basra, in cooperation with the Educational Counseling Unit and the Legal Unit in the college, held a seminar on suicidal ideation, its symptoms and causes.
The symposium, which was moderated by M. M. Saja Yasser Hussein, and lectured by M. M. Alia Abdel-Zahra and the jurist Ali Mahdi, included the issue of suicidal ideation, which is one of the behaviors that has been on the rise in recent times in all societies around the world.
The symposium aims to educate students about identifying the causes of suicidal thinking and diagnosing the situation before it occurs.
The seminar was very effective in terms of discussion by the attendees through the questions that were asked and answered by the specialists.
