The Department of Artistic Education of the College of Fine Arts at Basra University held a scientific symposium under the title (The Role of Art in Educating Youth), which falls within the decisions of the department’s scientific plan. The symposium included reading the research papers of the participating teachers, which came as follows:
1- The educational role of music in peoples' lives by the teacher, Dr. Adnan Khalaf Sahi, head of the Department of Musical Arts
2- The relationship of drawings with personal psychology of Assistant Professor Dr. Sana Kazem Muhammad.
3- Art and its social and educational role by teacher Hassan Taleb Jinzi.
4- Imagination and innovation in support of youth activities by teacher Qais Issa Abdullah.
5- The role of theater in supporting the culture of human rights for Assistant Lecturer Haider Jaafar Saadoun.
6- The educational role of art in guiding and educating youth for assistant teacher Salah Nehme Abdel-Ali.
7 - The role of art in the community environment of assistant teacher Marwa Nizar Youssef.
8- The role of art and its relationship in building an integrated personality for assistant teacher Fadia Aqeel.
9- The social role of art in stimulating youth’s ideas, for assistant teacher Sarah Jasim
