On the occasion of Basra University's anniversary celebrations, the Department of Musical Arts / College of Fine Arts participated in the ceremony held by the Directorate of Interior Sections / Department of Female Students on Wednesday 4/4/2018
The band presented an academic musical concert for a number of musical and lyrical pieces
The ceremony began with the playing of the national anthem, then the hymn of the Resurrection of Mary and the song of Iraq Al-Rafidain The ceremony was attended by the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Thamer Ahmed Hamdan, Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Sajid Hassan Al-Nour, and the Director of Interior Departments Dr. Murtaza Abdul-Azim Abdul Nabi and a number of female supervisors of the dormitory departments of Basra University, as well as a large number of female students
On the sidelines of the ceremony, the Department of Musical Arts was honored with a certificate of appreciation for its sophisticated musical work that reflects the aesthetic, cultural and scientific aspect of the College of Fine Arts first, and the Department of Musical Arts second. The President of the University praised the concert presented by the band and expressed his happiness with this beautiful achievement

We wish our beloved university more brilliance and scientific and human giving, and our beautiful college with its wonderful artistic activities, more giving, as it is the source of radiation for all colleges of Basra University
