A PhD thesis at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Basra, examined the third space and the interface of aesthetic discourse among Iraqi expatriate artists - a cultural analytical study. The term is based on the relationship between two cultural spaces, the first space is the original space of the country and the second space is the Diaspora space or the residence space. The third space is based on the field of plastic arts and the achievements of expatriate Iraqi artists.
The thesis discussed the transfer and application of the third space in the field of plastic arts and the achievements of Iraqi expatriate artists.
