The technical conference of the third university theater festival was held in Wasit University. The conference was attended by the head of the Basra University delegation, Dr. Hassan Abdul Razzaq Al-Abed, Director of the University Theater Company, representing the University of Basra. The session was chaired by the President of Wasit University, Dr. Hadi Dweig Al-Atabi, the representative of the Ministry of Higher Education, Dr. The student, Dr. Firas Al-Kinani, and the session dealt with discussing the technical and administrative matters of the festival and setting the dates for the performances. It is mentioned that Basra participated in the play (The Lemon Boy) written by Jabbar Sabri Al-Attiyah and directed by the student Yasser Al-Mayahi and the representation of the students of the theater arts department under the supervision of Dr. Hassan Abdul Razzaq
The Basra delegation also participated in critical sessions represented by Dr. Hassan Al-Nakhila, Head of the Theater Arts Department, and Dr. Saif Al-Hamdani, Head of the Art Education Department, in the arbitration sessions. The number of participating universities reached 15 governmental and private universities
