Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, President of Basra University, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kinani, Dean of the College of Fine Arts.
The Department of Performing Arts at the College of Fine Arts at the University of Basra held the Festival of Applied Laboratory Performances (Theater Makes Life), a course by Prof. Dr. Abdul Karim Abboud Al-Mubarak, on Wednesday, corresponding to 1-3-2023, at the Central Theater Hall in the College of Fine Arts, for a period of five days.
The festival was opened with the reading of Surat Al-Fatihah on the martyrs of Iraq, followed by the Iraqi national anthem. The festival began with a speech by Prof. Dr. Abdul-Karim Abboud Al-Mubarak, after which the head of the Department of Performing Arts, Prof. Dr. Asaad Abdul-Ridha announced the start of theatrical performances. The first day of the play Judas was about the play Women in the Storm Written by Saad Hadabi, prepared and directed by student Khadija Abdel Zahra, and supervised by Dr. Hala Hassan.
