Today, Thursday, March 9, 2023, the College of Fine Arts at the University of Basra celebrated the anniversary of the International Women's Day, in the central theater hall in the college
Where the ceremony began with any of the Holy Quran and the reading of Surat Al-Fatihah, to have mercy on the souls of the martyrs, and the national anthem was played.
The head of the Department of Art Education, Dr. Salah Al-Amara, said in his speech that Women's Day is a real occasion to celebrate a group of Iraqi women who have made great and invaluable sacrifices and their active role in society.
Then he gave a Dr. Saif al-Din Abd al-Wadud al-Hamdani gave his speech, describing women in the most delicate terms, and addressing her that there is no value in dreams that women do not have.Also, during the ceremony, the female angel was honored, including female teachers and employees of the Department of Art Education, and the ceremony concluded with chants and songs that sang the role of Iraqi women in society.
The ceremony was attended by the Dean of the College of Fine Arts, Prof. Dr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kinani, and the Head of the Department of Art Education, Dr. Salah Nehme Al-Amara, and a group of faculty, staff and students of the College of Fine Arts.
