The President of Basra University, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, inaugurated the Pioneer Gallery at the College of Fine Arts, which contains pictures and biographies of the pioneers of contemporary Iraqi art in all artistic disciplines. He was accompanied in the opening by Professor Dr. Mazen Al Hawaz, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Al Zahraa and a number of distinguished guests. This important historical documentation of Iraqi art pioneers, and on his part, Dr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kinani, Dean of the College of Fine Arts, spoke about the importance of preserving the artistic legacy of the pioneers by referring to their biographies and their most important achievements to serve as an incentive for students and researchers, calling at the same time the need to preserve and perpetuate this achievement
