The Division of Continuing Education at the College of Fine Arts, University of Basra, held a symposium on kilns for burning clay artifacts, their types, techniques, and development in Iraq through the ages. Its natural existence, then the subject of pottery and its minerals, the establishment of refractory science in ancient and contemporary Iraq, and the burning of clay artifacts in ancient periods.
The symposium was also attended by a group of professors, staff and students of the Faculty of Fine Arts.
