The minister of Education announces the implementation of the Bologna track in more than 600 departments in the faculties of engineering and science in the upcoming academic year

The minister of higher education and scientific research, Dr. Naim al-Aboudi, announced that more than six hundred specialized departments in the faculties of engineering and science at public and private universities will witness the application of the Bologna track procedures in the upcoming academic year 2024/2023.

This came during his chairmanship of a meeting of the applicant staff in the presence of members of the Central Committee and sub-committees for the implementation of the Bologna track at universities, where the minister of Education explained that the Bologna track represents the most important priorities of the Ministry of higher education and scientific research, pointing to the importance of doubling the efforts of the committees responsible for the implementation of this track in more than six hundred specialized scientific departments in the faculties of engineering and science with the beginning of the new academic year.

The participants reviewed the Bologna track accreditation guide at universities, with regard to admission, registration, tests, quality assurance of the application of procedures, especially curriculum manuals, curriculum and study materials, description of study materials, and the electronic system for managing the educational process.

The minister of education and scientific research, Dr. Naim al-Aboudi, stressed that universities and their colleges bear the responsibility of implementing the Bologna Process and the success of its procedures, pointing out that the assessment of the University Institution and its leaders will be carried out in the light of the indicators of implementation and interaction achieved, calling at the same time to invest the new variable provided by this path in linking University specialties to the labor market.

The meeting discussed a number of topics on the agenda, including the course of updating curricula in university disciplines and the file of facilitating procedures related to citizens ' affairs, while the minister of Education stressed on exerting maximum efforts in this regard and enabling citizens and auditors to achieve their goals within specific timings and administrative and legal governing contexts.
