Basrah University organized the central graduation ceremony for the fifty-third batch on the gardens of the Central Library today, Thursday, December 10, 2020
The ceremony began with verses from the Holy Quran followed by reading Surat Al-Fatihah on the souls of the martyrs of Iraq, then a speech by the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, in which he praised the role of the teaching staff and students in the success of the past school year despite the difficult circumstances that passed in the country.
Hammadi indicated that the University of Basra was of a high level of responsibility in challenging these circumstances and insisting on achieving success.
For his part, the first student at the Faculty of Marine Sciences spoke in a speech given by the first students about the difficult circumstances that passed during the 2019-2020 academic year, offering his thanks and gratitude to the university's professors and management.
At the end of the ceremony, the President of the University awarded a bachelor's degree to the students, and then repeated the graduation section
The top students were also honored by the president of the university, deans and some government personalities
