
The president of the University of Basra, Dr. Saad Shahin Hammadi, and the deans of the faculties of Engineering, Pharmacy, computer science and Information Technology participated in the opening of the Iraq education exhibition and conference 2023, which was held on بغداد Baghdad International Fair with Arab and international participation and distinguished academic attendance.
The conference aims to open up to international academic spaces and move towards quality and the development of innovations.
His Excellency the minister of higher education and scientific research, Dr. Naim al-Aboudi, stressed in his speech that the ministry has succeeded in establishing an environment of openness to international academic spaces and has made a decision that Iraqi universities carry an atypical identity that gains interaction, presence and competition from the international track, pointing out that the projects of the higher education institution are characterized by methodology and characterized by strategic vitality, noting at the same time that the most prominent of these projects is the unprecedented educational transformation to the Bologna track, which was implemented through partnership and cooperation with UNESCO in technical universities and that it will take its way for implementation in more than 600 specialized departments in engineering colleges and science in formations Public and private universities and the pilot project (study in Iraq), in which more than three thousand international students have registered to study at Iraqi universities.
Dr. Saad Shaheen conducted a tour of the exhibition halls, which included pavilions for Iraqi government, private, Arab and foreign universities, technology and education companies and a number of organizations.
