A master's thesis at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Basra discussed the works of the conceptual format in contemporary Arab ceramics.
The thesis presented by researcher Zahra Hussein Sabih included the theme of the artistic format, which is represented by its relationship with the artistic elements and what they share on the conceptual side, producing works with expressive intellectual connotations, whether cultural, social or artistic.

The thesis aims to shed light on the work of the conceptual framework in contemporary Arab ceramics.

The letter concluded that the Potter used some forms related to ancient civilizations and formulated them in an abstract modern style for some forms to be more easy to convey the meaning.
