Under the patronage of the president of Basra University, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, and under the supervision of the dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, assistant professor Dr. Ali Abdullah al-Kanani.
The Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Basra - women's Empowerment unit in cooperation with the presidency of the University of Basra, the human development unit, the Basra police command, the Criminal Evidence Department and the Addiction Treatment Unit at the presidency of the University of Basra organized an attendance workshop on the phenomenon of drugs and their impact on the Iraqi family in the presence of a group of students and faculty members.
The seminar presented by Khadija Faisal Shoukry, head of the women's Empowerment unit at the College, in which Dean Hussein Faleh nehma, Dr. Abbas Juma Hamdan, assistant professor Dr. Ali Abdullah al-Kanani, dean of the College of Fine Arts, and assistant professor Dr. Abdul Karim Zayer discussed raising community awareness against the phenomenon of drugs and the statement of the Drug Law No.سنة Year ٢٠١٧ and the amendments issued to it by the regulatory and penal sides as well as the risks and negative consequences resulting from this phenomenon and directing all cadres to the seriousness of the situation and the best ways to avoid it.
The workshop aims to provide comprehensive awareness about the dangers of drugs and the importance of treating them in New and innovative ways, including art therapy, which in turn is characterized in the preparation of conscious youth based on artistic values, indicating all the negative and true aspects of all intractable pests in society.
