A master's thesis at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Basra discussed the environmental recruitment of sculptural work – proposed sculptural designs for the spaces of the University of Basra.

The message presented by the researcher Ali Abdul Amir Banai included highlighting the importance of sculptural work in terms of its environmental use within the spaces of the University of Basra and the aesthetic and environmental treatments that occur within those spaces.

The thesis aims to prepare proposed sculptural designs to address the spaces of the University of Basra environmentally and employ the University's environmental features due to the different cultural vocabulary that this environment carries.

The thesis concluded that the sculptural designs proposed by the researcher fit the spaces of the University of Basra in its various faculties within the limits of research, where the works were distributed in a balanced formative and university environment.
