The thesis presented by the researcher Omar Ali Mustafa included focusing on the concept of the ruling icon, which is used as a symbol and a sign, and analyzing the methods of its use in international and Iraqi painting in particular.

The letter aims to reveal how the ruling icon is represented.

The letter concluded that the heritage icons were embodied in contemporary Iraqi painting through stories from the ancient history of Iraq and in a modern style, as those icons were characterized by fertile imagination through ancient legends.
