
The lecturer in the Department of Fine Arts at the College of Fine Arts at Basra University, Dr. Nasir Samari, participated in the Al-Wasiti Festival in its 13th session. This festival was qualitative by choosing the participating works of all Iraqi artists.
The Ministry approved the selection of important works within the scientific and technical specifications, such as an attempt to upgrade the achievement and build a new mechanism to restore the level of the festival to its position, which is considered to be one of the best Arab and regional festivals in the middle. The pioneers of Iraqi plastic art have participated in it. The selection committee has excluded hundreds of submitted works, as it nominated fifty drawings from House of 600 works of art presented, and the participants were painters, sculptors, and potters as well, and the exhibition resulted in an actual participation and a realistic presence despite the conditions with health precautions. Preserving a selection committee and invitations to distinguished artists with a long history of artistic achievement and called for selling works to state institutions and personal acquisition as a case of spreading cultural awareness and celebrating the Iraqi achievement, and this festival is one of the best Iraqi festivals in the plastic world.
