The teaching staff of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Performing Arts A.M.Dr. Qais Odeh al-Kanani is the chairman of the Nazran Theater Festival in its third session, which is organized by the Iraqi Artists Syndicate, Basra branch.
The festival aims to support the youth energies in the city of Basra through theatrical works and critical sessions and to engage the visual youth to be able to take control of artistic matters and activate the theatrical movement and draw a theatrical map to lead the artistic and theatrical future, especially directing, acting, criticism and technology, in addition to inviting artists from outside the provinces to participate in the judging, critical and artistic committees.
The festival included the participation of more than ٣٠ pure visual theatrical works and six works were nominated competing among themselves to win the prizes scheduled at the festival.
