The thesis presented by researcher Rasha Fouad Shihab aims to identify the conceptual dimension of machine representations in contemporary shaping and to indicate their aesthetic and technical aspects.
The dissertation included a comprehensive study of the emergence and development of the machine, its types and factors that helped to its appearance.  
The thesis concluded that the artists used technology to create movement and interaction in the artworks and this adds an innovative dynamic element to the artworks.
