His doctoral dissertation at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University examined the cultural variant of the directorial vision in the performances of contemporary Iraqi theater.
The thesis presented by the researcher Shahid Kamel Sabri aims at realizing the variable in the values of dealing between the elements and the directorial bases of the reality of the show and its intellectual level.
The thesis included an argumentative study of the cultural changes that have occurred to the human being in general and the artist or theater director in particular.  
The thesis concluded that the cultural variable in contemporary theater is a variable in the entire theatrical formats and the innovative discovery towards the heterogeneity of cultural formats of the nature of the individual.
