His doctoral dissertation at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the university investigated the mechanisms of memory recall and stimulation of imagination in contemporary painting.
The thesis presented by the researcher Muhannad Abdullah Jabbar aims at highlighting the possibility of training individual aesthetic reading and forming a picture of the nature of imagination.
The dissertation included a comprehensive study of memory and recall, which are associated with the type of vocabulary selected from the natural and social environment.  
The thesis concluded that direct images narrow the space of imagination through limited details and dependence on what is seen visually, which reduces the freedom of imagination.
