A master's thesis at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Basra examined the representations of the imagined image of historical facts in contemporary Iraqi painting.
The message presented by the researcher Qais Fadel fanjan aims to identify the importance of the imagined image and its representation and to indicate its intellectual and social aspects and its impact on contemporary Iraqi painting.
The message included identifying the most important historical facts and their artistic treatment in Iraqi painting based on the imagined image in representing the facts and revealing the basic bases and references in the delivery of the artistic speech. 
The letter concluded that the artist presented in his artworks multiple images that monitored the suffering of the Iraqi human being through various facts and the technical and stylistic diversity of the artist.
