A master's thesis at the University of Basra examines the representations of Marxism in contemporary Iraqi painting

A master's thesis at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Basra examined the representations of Marxism in contemporary Iraqi painting.
The message presented by the researcher Muhammad Qasim Abbas aims to shed light on the works of contemporary painting by depicting Marxism as a party ideological approach that has penetrated Iraqi society significantly.
The letter included an explanation of the Marxist theory, which is an intellectual turn that has extended to most countries as a theory that mobilizes societies against tyranny and oppression in all its diversity and its social, economic and political effects.
The letter concluded that the artworks did not emphasize the Marxism of their artists or their inclusions but rather were emphasizing their existentialist ethics as a humanistic position.
