The Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Basra organizes a workshop entitled "visionaries in the Iraqi song"

The Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Basra, Department of Musical Arts, organized a specialized art workshop entitled "visual artists in Iraqi song", with the aim of highlighting the prominent role played by the creators of the city of Basra in the development and formation of Iraqi song over the past decades.
The workshop was conducted by the head of the Department of musical arts, assistant teacher Ali Qasim, while the lecture was presented by Professor Dr. Nasser Hashim Badin, where the lecture dealt with various aspects of visual creativity in the field of poetry, composition and singing, and the great impact left by the creators of Basra on the Iraqi singing scene.
The paper focuses on the definition of students in creative Basra of poets, composers, vocalists, who have contributed in the progress of the work of the immortal affected in the song of Iraq for more than fifty years. Included the modern names of such prominent poets, visual who wrote the words affected in the consciousness of the Iraqi public, and composers who have contributed to impressive in the production of the songs still hesitated until today.
The workshop also included a detailed review of the biography of each poet, composer and visual singer, highlighting their most prominent works and their importance in the Iraqi musical heritage. The focus was on how these creators interacted with different generations and Time stages, and how they were able to provide Iraqi art with works that remained timeless over time.
The workshop had a great interaction from the students, who expressed their passion to learn more about the history of music in their city and the role of visual artists in the Iraqi song industry.
