Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mohannad Jawad Kazim, president of the University of Basra, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abdul Zahra Mohammed, dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, the Faculty of Fine Arts – women's affairs unit, in cooperation with the Department of Plastic Arts, organized an exhibition and a charity market entitled "creative touches".
The exhibition, which was held within the corridors of the Faculty, aims to support the students of the Faculty of Fine Arts by providing a platform to display their artistic and handmade works, which contributes to enhancing their artistic and creative abilities. The exhibition also seeks to provide moral support to students and encourage them to showcase their talents, in addition to creating job opportunities for them through the sale of their works of art and crafts.
The exhibition included a variety of photographs and works of art, which varied between painting and handmade works that the students were creative in doing. The works on display reflected a combination of artistic creativity and craftsmanship, reflecting the level of dedication and excellence shown by the students in the implementation of their projects.
The exhibition was supervised by a group of specialized professors from the Department of plastic arts, who provided their guidance to the students to ensure the presentation of works that express a mature artistic vision and keep pace with modern developments in the field of plastic arts.
The exhibition was attended by the faculty members and students of the faculty, who expressed their admiration for the artistic level of the exhibited works.
Speaking on the sidelines of the exhibition, The Dean stressed that this event is an important step to support young talents, pointing out that the Faculty of Fine Arts always seeks to organize such activities that contribute to the development of artistic skills and the development of practical experiences for its students. He added:"the main goal of this exhibition is to enable students to display their works in front of the public, and open new horizons for them towards professionalism in the field of Arts".
This initiative comes within a series of artistic and cultural activities that the Faculty of Fine Arts seeks to organize to enhance interaction between students and the outside community, and provide continuous support for emerging talents.
